Restrap Saddle Bag: rackless carrying capacity for long days in the saddle

Turn any bike into a touring machine without fitting a rack. The Restrap Saddle Bag straps to your seatpost and saddle rails in seconds and carries a full day of kit, or a few nights of it, tucked neatly behind you.

The system comes in two parts. A rigid holster stays on the bike, and a waterproof roll top dry bag slides in and out, so you can pack at the table and load the bike in one move. Choose 8 or 14 litres depending on how far you want to go.

Waterproof where it matters

The included dry bag is rated IP6K6: sealed against dust and protected against powerful jets of water. Whatever the weather does, what is inside stays dry.

Stable on every surface

The hard shell holster keeps its shape even when the bag is half full, and a Fidlock magnetic buckle closes the system in one click, gloves on. Reflective paracord and reinforced eyelets let you tension the load so it stays quiet and steady on tarmac and gravel alike.

Frequently asked questions

Which size should I choose?

The 8 L suits weekends, fast audax rides and smaller frames. The 14 L is made for multi day touring and bulky kit such as a sleeping bag. Always check the space between your saddle and rear tyre, especially on small frames. At L'Hirondelle Bike Shop in Meppel we are happy to check the fit on your bike.

Is it really waterproof?

Yes. The waterproofing comes from the IP6K6 dry bag inside the holster, which is sealed against dust and heavy rain. Roll the top at least three times before closing it.

Does it work with a dropper post?

The holster sits on the seatpost, so it reduces the usable travel of a dropper post. On most road, gravel and touring bikes with a fixed post, it fits without any issue.

Can it be repaired?

Yes. Restrap covers the bag with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, and spare parts such as paracord and dry bags are available separately.

Where is it made?

The Saddle Bag is handmade in Restrap's own workshop in Leeds, Yorkshire, and tested on the roads and trails of the Yorkshire Dales.
