Founded in 2015, the brand Thousand was born from the will to save at least 1000 lives.
Like many cyclists before her, Gloria Hwang, the founder, did not wear helmets during her bike rides. Too heavy, too bulky and rarely pretty, bike helmets were seen as a constraint rather than an asset.
It is from this postulate that many prototypes have been developed.
A Kickstarter campaign later and helmets Thousand was born.
Thousand relies on 5 concepts:

- Solidarity: Always help and learn from the community
- Security: Saving lives is the reason to be Thousand
- Integrity: Being intransigent on product quality and customer service seriousness
