Shoulder straps get detached, left on hooks and lost in car boots long before the bag itself shows any wear. This is the official Ortlieb replacement, so a missing strap does not retire a bag that has years left in it.

The Sling-Bag Metrosphere and the Velo-Sling. Both use the same strap, and this is the part supplied with them from new.

Frequently asked questions

Will it fit my bag?
It fits the Sling-Bag Metrosphere and the Velo-Sling. It is not the strap for the Fork-Pack, Dry-Bag or Accessory-Pack — that is the X-Lite 20 mm strap, reference E267, which we also stock.

Is it the same strap as the one supplied new?
Yes. It is the original part, not a generic replacement.

Do I need to fit it myself?
It clips on in seconds, no tools involved. If you would rather someone else did it, bring the bag to L'Hirondelle Bike Shop in Meppel.

Why buy the official part rather than any strap?
The attachment hardware is specific to the bag. A generic strap either will not clip on or will hang at the wrong length, which defeats the point of a sling bag.
