1. Degrease and clean

Degreasing a transmission means removing the old oil and all the impurities that accumulate there.

This step is fundamental before lubricating your chain and should therefore not be neglected.

So how do we do it? It is necessary to use a product that will dissolve this sludge to facilitate its removal.

Dirt Juice, and its concentrated version to be diluted "Super Gnarl", are shampoos intended to clean your bike as a whole. Their degreasing action will obviously allow you to clean your chain.

The Dirt Juice Hero is a more powerful version. It is recommended to use it exclusively on transmissions. It is so powerful that it would almost be a waste to use it on less "demanding" surfaces.

The Dirt Juice Boss is equivalent to the Hero but differs in its pressure spray packaging. This type of application is particularly practical when you want to degrease quickly and well.

To help clean your bike in general and your transmission in particular, it is recommended to equip yourself with one or more specific brushes.

Very easy to use, you just have to introduce a little degreaser, attach it to your chain and turn your cranks so that the integrated brushes do almost all the work for you.

Your transmission is now impeccable, you can tackle the overall cleaning of your bike.

To do this, spray Dirt Juice, leave to act for a few minutes, rub with the various brushes provided for this purpose as well as with the cleaning sponges then rinse thoroughly.

For an impeccable finish, you can apply a polish to your frame to bring a nice shine to your paintwork.

Two versions of Frame Juice polish exist depending on the varnish applied to your bike: Frame Juice gloss and Frame Juice matte.

2. Oil the chain

Your transmission is now degreased and dry, you can now proceed to the lubrication of your chain.

Very important, this step will protect it, prevent the appearance of rust and reduce friction in order to offer you better performance with each pedal stroke.

3. Assembly greases and pastes

A fatty substance protects the parts in contact with each other. And in a bicycle precisely, many parts are associated with each other.

• Bearing Juice grease is a lithium-based grease intended for application to bearings and other moving parts.

• AAS Juice Grease is an aluminum based grease designed to prevent two metal parts from welding together due to corrosion.

• Carbon Juice Carbon Assembly Paste is a paste made up of multiple small particles. It allows you to hold a carbon element in place without subjecting it to excessive tightening torque which would be destructive.

4. Maintenance of peripheral systems

For braking, Juice Lubes offers a brake degreasing cleaner: Brake Juice and oils for mineral oil or DOT type hydraulic systems.
