Restrap Holster Bar Bag: the classic bikepacking bar bag, refined

After more than ten years of development, Restrap's holster system remains the fastest way to carry real volume on the handlebar. The holster stays on the bike, and the waterproof dry bag comes out in a couple of clicks: set up camp, pack your sleeping bag, slide it back in.

The double ended dry bag opens from both sides, so you reach what you need without emptying everything. An elastic stowage strap on top holds gloves or a windproof, ready for when the weather turns.

Two ways to ride

The 14 L version is the Holster Bar Bag on its own. The 18 L version is the Holster Bar Bag Plus: the same bag with a 4 L Rolltop Canister Bag that clips onto the front, for extra waterproof storage within reach. The Canister can also be used on its own.

Rock solid on the bike

Cam locks on the handlebar and webbing straps around the fork crown combine quick fitting with real stability. Inside the holster, a GripTight patch stops the dry bag from sliding from side to side, however rough the trail. A built in mount takes a clip on light.

Frequently asked questions

14 L or 18 L?

The 14 L holds a sleeping bag and a mat or a set of clothes, ideal for most trips. The 18 L adds the Rolltop Canister Bag for snacks, a jacket or electronics you want within reach. We are happy to help you choose at L'Hirondelle Bike Shop in Meppel.

Will it fit my handlebar?

It fits drop bars and flat bars. On drop bars, check that the dry bag leaves enough room for your hands between the drops, and that there is clearance above the front tyre.

Is it waterproof?

Yes. The dry bag is 100% waterproof. Roll each end at least three times before closing for complete protection.

Can it be repaired?

Yes. It is handmade in Leeds and covered by Restrap's lifetime warranty, and the dry bag can be replaced separately.
