Bank-vault engineering, built for the bike lane. For twenty years TMD Security protected 400,000 cash machines from serious attack. In 2026 it turned that expertise to bicycle theft.
The insight behind TMD Locks is simple. A lock that is heavy, cold and guarded by a key you will eventually lose is a lock that stays at home. So this Dutch family business rebuilt the category around the rider: keyless Bluetooth access with no cylinder to drill or pick, an integrated 100 dB alarm, independent ART-2 certification, and a silicone body that will not mark your frame.
What sets the brand apart
- No key, no keyhole — your phone is the key, and the attack methods that defeat conventional locks have nothing to work with.
- ART-2 certified — independently tested, and accepted by Dutch and international theft insurers and by the major bike leasing providers.
- Active deterrence — a motion-triggered 100 dB alarm turns a quiet street into the worst place to be working.
- Advanced materials — Dyneema and Kevlar over a hardened manganese alloy steel core, for certified security at a fraction of the usual weight.
- Designed to be seen — Navy, Beige and Black finishes that sit properly alongside a well-designed e-bike rather than spoiling it.
The range is built around the TMD Chain Lock, available in 70, 110 and 160 cm, with further TMD Locks products arriving in 2027. Every lock carries a two-year warranty, and we handle registration, insurance questions and warranty claims directly from our workshop.
