Ortlieb Back-Roller XL Plus: maximum volume, refined finish

The Back-Roller XL Plus takes everything the XL delivers — 70 litres per pair of waterproof carrying capacity, designed for the longest tours — and adds the premium finish of the Plus range. Where the standard XL uses classic tarpaulin, the XL Plus is built from PVC-free, single-sided coated Cordura that has the elegant, textile-like appearance of a fabric bag while remaining equally waterproof.

The Plus distinction

The “Plus” in the name means an additional external roll-top pocket, giving fast access to gloves, snacks, lights and documents without opening the main compartment. The main body seals with a waterproof roll closure rated IP64 — dust-tight and splash-proof from all directions — keeping 35 litres of gear dry through any weather.

On and off the bike

The Quick-Lock2.1 system provides tool-free attachment to virtually any rear rack (8–16 mm with included reducer inserts; 18/20 mm hooks also compatible), while the detachable shoulder straps convert each bag into a comfortable carry for the station, the hotel or the trail head. Max payload 9 kg per bag.
